BES Ltd on Track for Railalliance event MacroRail 2011

Belvoir Engineering Services is delighted to announce that, as a member of the Rail Alliance, it has taken a stand at the Rail Alliance’s MacroRail 2011 event.

The event will be held on September 16th at the Alliance’s Long Marston HQ, near Stratford-upon-Avon, which will play host to the 50+ member exhibitors. The event site also features an extensive length of track and outdoor area for demonstrations. As well as its normal range of products and services which include Fabricated & Machined Products, New & Refurbished seating systems, Seating Spares, Hand & Grab Rails, Interior Parts, Motors & Fans, Labels & Signs, Headlight Cluster Lenses, Electrical Components & Spares Belvoir Engineering Services will also be exhibiting some new additions to its range. These include Cab & Saloon heating systems, Air Conditioning units from RedDOT, Stand Alone Heaters. Also New to Belvoir Engineering is a Range of Mobile CCTV systems from Brigade. Belvoir Engineering invest in Tube Forming Equipment

Due to the increased demand on Belvoir Engineering for the supply of New & Refurbished hand rails; they have invested in new Tube & Pipe Bending Equipment. Their New Tube bender has the ability to bend up to 64 x 4mm mild steel tubing and 50 x 3mm stainless steel tubing, all with a maximum centre line radius of 177mm (7”). Having this capability in house now allows Belvoir Engineering to respond a lot quicker to customer demands and also allows them to work with customers on samples and prototypes for approval before starting production runs, enabling them to reduce supply time and costs.

Belvoir Engineering Services Expands

On the 29th October 10 as part of the continued expansion Belvoir Engineering Services Ltd moved into Larger Premises. The move comes following a year of great expansion and the growing level of new customers and products, meaning the company needs bigger premises in a more reachable and suitable location, allowing them to not only keep growing but to serve the needs of their existing customers more effectively and efficiently. The new premises are located on the Manvers Business Park in Cotgrave and they are delighted to be able to move into the Vacant unit.

Managing Director Keith Bentley commented,

“Having outgrown our old premises in Tollerton over the past 2 years, due to the natural growth of the company it became clear we needed something much bigger with room to employ extra members of staff when needed. We have been growing by nearly 50% year on year lately and these new premises will allow us to continue to grow at this rate. We found one of the last units available at the Manvers Business Park, and jumped at the chance to not only to move in there, but to also help push forward the vision of a community of business based in Cotgrave.”

He went on to say,

“The move will allow us to be more efficient when it comes to managing our existing customers needs, and will also give us the position to move onwards in terms of expansion and the amount of services we can offer. With premises based in Cotgrave with great transportation links this means that we can now really push forward our vision of Belvoir Engineering Services Ltd becoming a leading engineering supplier to the Transportation Industry, with the help of our already fantastic list of customers”.

Belvoir Engineering Services Ltd have sponsored their Local under 13’s Football team Edwalton Cavaliers for the 2009 2010 season.

Edwalton Cavaliers Play in the Young Elizabethan League are currently doing well in this league table. The Team consists of keen enthusiastic boys who love to play the game. They needed a new kit for this season as they had not had a new one for several years and BES Ltd stepped in to help out. When at home they play at Alford Road Edwalton Nottingham.

Achilles Link Up Approval Acheived

After recently achieving ISO 9001:2008 status and as part of its ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and quality Midlands based Rail Automotive & Aerospace Engineering Supply firm Belvoir Engineering Services Ltd has successfully achieved Link up approval.

Belvoir Engineering Services passed the Achilles audit at the beginning of June 2009. Link-up is the UK Rail industry supplier qualification and verification scheme, designed to assure the quality of products and services purchased by the rail industry. It is administered on behalf of the rail industry by the Achilles Link-up Team and is supported and used by around 80 of the major rail companies throughout the UK.
Gaining Link-up accreditation has now opened some very big doors for BES Ltd, enabling the company to show the rail industry what they can do. Headlight Cluster Cover

Are your fleets headlight beams as efficient as they could be?
Are the effects of weathering causing distortion to the headlight beam?

The solution is simple, a Belvoir Engineering headlight cluster cover.
Already available for class 158 vehicles, a variation of which can be used on a range of other vehicles with headlight cluster covers, such as the following: 320/321/322 465/466 vehicles, 90/91 locomotives and class 82 DVTs.
The lens is made from a polycarbonate substance which reduces discolouration caused by U.V light. Abrasion resistant therefore degradation is reduced to a minimum. Needs only hand soap and water to clean, therefore no hazardous chemicals required. Stronger than the O.E.M Lexan Marguard polycarbonate material used at vehicle build.
The surround (should it be required) is a two piece machined fabrication which reduces the change over time of the existing assemblies.
Belvoir Engineering also offer an exchange of the item, where the assembly is returned to us, we strip out the old lens, then reassemble the complete assembly with a new lens inserted, returning the item to the customer ready to fit back onto the vehicle, even further reducing your manpower costs.
